WOMAN: God’s immediate solution to the Tasked-man_episode 1

The Lord God said, ̒ ̒ it is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him՚՚

(Genesis 2:18, NIV)

1. Introduction

When the Lord sends help which is not received properly, it may turn into something else. This something else could be problems which persist until the rightful insight is received and acted upon. The purpose of everything is very important, however, the full benefit of anything is obtained when that purposeful mission is realized. When a man receives a weapon for defence, the man should get the usage right else it may become evil instead of good. Many do agree that women have played vital roles in several successful stories likewise the opposite is true. Thus, how you see the functionality of woman could either be a blessing or a curse. There are a lot of blame games from many who point fingers at women for their predicaments. Others have an opposite story of joy and success with women being the core facilitators.

Until we treat treasures with the intended care, people do not only waste much time but as well miss out on the full potential that would have been helpful to them. Who then is a woman in the life of a man? Various opinions likely exist on who a woman is, based on individual experiences, culture, background, religion, association, etc. Irrespective of various ideologies on whom a woman is, the truth needs to be told and some facts need to be accepted before the full benefit can be reaped. In an information and data driven world, one is defined by the depth of his/her knowledge and the extent of ignorance in all situations. Before defining who a woman is, there is a need to quickly get basic information on, what triggered the coming of such wonderful gift, carefully designed and polished for man.

Having observed some limitations in the life of the man placed in Garden of Eden, God needed to provide a solution. The solution which was purposeful and fitting for the tasked-man (Adam) was a woman. Thus, the coming of woman was purposefully defined – a suitable helper. It is a joy to know that our mothers, sisters, daughters and female friends, as women, were made as a solution, after God’s assessment of man. It is my intention to use this piece to echo unto all women and men that, in God’s assessment of the tasked-man, the creator realized that man needed help to fulfil his purpose/assignment/vision/mission. God then wrapped this help and presented it to man in the form of a woman. Every man therefore needs to understand fully, the value of the woman given unto him. Likewise, women need to understand that, they are the wired solution the creator made to help the man fulfil his work/assignment/vision etc. on earth. This material expands on this as we continue to read and meditate on the subject of woman as a suitable helper to the tasked-man.

2. The intent of bringing in the woman

The situation:

In Genesis 2: 15 we read, the Lord God places man in a garden, so he works it and takes care of it. Thus the man is assigned a task. But in the verse 18; the Lord God speaks again, but this time saying it is not good for man to be alone. In view of that he said, I will make a helper suitable for him.  This text is a precursor to verse 20 … But for Adam no suitable helper was found.

The above information indicates a situation in which, man was placed in a garden and was assigned a given task, his duties went beyond naming of the other existing creatures. The heaviness of his assignment or task could be seen in Genesis 1:26 (Then God said, ̒ ̒ Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground՚՚). There is a clear understanding that, man is really tasked and has a lot to fulfil in executing his assignment. The fascinating thing was that, as man started carrying out some of his tasks such as naming of other creatures (e.g. birds, Genesis 2:19-20), then the need for a suitable helper came into the picture.

NB: The setting in which the woman was brought in was when the tasked-man was executing his assignment as defined by the creator. The Late Dr. Myles Munroe said “only the man who is in the presence of God and is working needs a woman ՚՚. As the statement by Dr. Munroe is ideal, let me stretch this further in another context in that ̒ the coming in of a woman was on the grounds that, all was not well for man as he executed his purpose՚՚. Thus, the coming in of a woman was based on the premise that, the tasked-man needed a suitable helper to enable him attain the status of being a total man.

We therefore need to comprehend as men that we have been given defined task/assignment/vision etc. by God, however we are limited. The solution to our limitations has however been divinely inculcated within a beautiful gift called woman. Let us close this two-page document on who then is a woman?

• Woman is the physical manifestation of the solution that the creator could see in his urgent willingness to assist the tasked-man to fully accomplish his work/assignment/vision on earth.
• Women are the carefully designed solution for man by God, having observed and assessed the limitation of mankind in accomplishing his earthly duties.
